Educating Ryder: Contractor Mansell has recently completed one of the government's flagship city learning centres for West Gate Community College in Newcastle upon Tyne. City learning centres are part of the government's drive to raise education standards around the UK. Designed by architect Ryder and developed for Newcastle council, the learning centre includes open offices as well as enclosed teaching spaces designed to use the latest technology.
