Botschi Vargas Architects has submitted a planning application for five townhouses and a penthouse flat for an infill site in Maida Vale, north London. The dwellings are clad in Kal-Wall's translucent panels that resemble traditional Japanese screens. The narrow site means that the house fronts are close together, so their windows mainly overlook the rear gardens. Reedlong is the developer, with Scott Wilson Kirkpatrick as structural engineer and quantity surveyor.
