Bolt in the blue: The £50m first phase of Farnborough airport in Hampshire has been completed. The largest part of the development, designed by Reid Architecture for TAG Aviation, is a 300 × 45 m hangar and the project also includes an air traffic control tower with illuminated lift. Structural and services engineer is Buro Happold, infrastructure is by Gibb, landscape architect is Derek Lovejoy Partnership, construction manager is Bovis Lend Lease and QS is Davis Langdon & Everest.
