The Society of Public Health Engineers (SoPHE) was launched at the end of June.
It replaces the CIBSE Public Health Engineering Group.

SoPHE has its own class of membership, independent of CIBSE. It can provide designatory letters to those who are suitably qualified and experienced in the field.

If they aren't already members of CIBSE, group members will be admitted as affiliate members of the Institution. This means they will receive BSj each month, as well as other benefits.

SoPHE chairman is Martin Shouler of BRE. For more information, see www.cibse.org and click on the Society's link for more details.
