A new free online information exchange has been launched to encourage greater collaboration between industry and academia.
The Ðǿմ«Ã½ Services Technical Exchange acts as a ‘dating service’ for engineers and academics to match up their professional interests and areas of expertise.
The Exchange is a development of a service originally created by FETA. It has now been enhanced by the Ðǿմ«Ã½ Services Forum (ECA, CIBSE, BSRIA, FETA and HVCA) and Constructing Excellence.
To use www.bstechex.co.uk, users simply log on, register and complete a tick-box profile. Visitors to the site can identify contact details of other members of industry, universities and research companies.
The website also provides a way to exchange files over the internet, and provides free advice for small to medium enterprises looking for sources of funding.
