A new group for young engineers is proposed, to bring more of them into the industry with encouragement and support from CIBSE, in order to ensure the future of ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Services Engineering.

Proposed mission statement

• To provide a forum and support network for young people interested in building services engineering.

• To provide a link with CIBSE to ensure that young people are encouraged to engage with their professional institution early on and throughout their careers

• To promote building services engineering to school and university students with the aim of bringing new engineers into the industry.

Proposed group activities

The group will provide the following:

• A voice for young engineers

• Opportunities for knowledge exchange

• Platform for new thinking and novel approaches to design

• Opportunities to work/interact together with other disciplines

• Assistance with training schemes towards CEng status

• Assistance with commercial sponsorship

• Job networks

• Website and newsletter

• Social events

• Technical seminars

• Technical visits/tours

• Workshops/lectures

• Networking with other groups
