I was very interested in your article ‘Dealing with it’ (CM, June) as a few of us have recently started investigating the incidence of professionals with a disability working in the property sector. It is immediately apparent that many employers are unaware of their duties under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, even though the Act has been in existence for nearly 10 years! While we have found some employers to be extremely supportive of existing employees, it is quite another matter when it comes to changing jobs.
