Kier Group is merging two of its operations, Kier Managed Services (KMS) and Kier 星空传媒 Services Engineers (KBSE), into new business Kier Facilities Services.

The business aims to offer facilities services, building maintenance services and building engineering services under a single contract.

The new combined business will have a turnover of around 拢120m and more than 1,200 staff operating from offices in London, Cardiff, Basingstoke and Sheffield, and is to be headed up by former KMS managing director Colin Hale.

Hale said: 鈥淭his merger will enable us to provide a truly nationwide service to support clients. The formation of Kier Facilities Services is a significant step in our drive to compete in this marketplace at the highest level.

Kier Facilities Services is to launch on 1 November.
