Kier Group is merging two of its operations, Kier Managed Services (KMS) and Kier Ðǿմ«Ã½ Services Engineers (KBSE), into new business Kier Facilities Services.
The business aims to offer facilities services, building maintenance services and building engineering services under a single contract.
The new combined business will have a turnover of around £120m and more than 1,200 staff operating from offices in London, Cardiff, Basingstoke and Sheffield, and is to be headed up by former KMS managing director Colin Hale.
Hale said: “This merger will enable us to provide a truly nationwide service to support clients. The formation of Kier Facilities Services is a significant step in our drive to compete in this marketplace at the highest level.
“KFS is equipped to offer a one-stop solution for the whole life-cycle of clients’ property requirements, from design and installation of building services to long-term care and maintenance of their built environmentâ€
Kier Facilities Services is to launch on 1 November.
