Andover Controls has developed a powerful IT initiative that gets as close to recreating events as modern digital video recording and playback technology allows. Synchronised Playback 鈥� available with Andover鈥檚 Integral range of digital video recorders 鈥� enables end users to search for specific video data and then to play back synchronised, multiple views in order to determine the best possible recreation of events. Functionality is available to authorised users through the recorder or remotely over an Internet connection via RemoteView software.

Blackburn Alarms
Blackburn Alarms has increased its turnover significantly during the past 12 months due to the introduction of LookC web-enabled digital CCTV. The system had to be something more than purely digital. It had to be viewable from the machine itself, but be viewed just as easily over a network or, indeed, the Internet. LookC allows PTZs to be controlled remotely, and has already been installed at Christ The King Catholic High School in Preston to great effect. With up to 16 video input channels, LookC can record each one continually at one frame per second with burst rates of up to four frames per second. All data is encrypted as standard.

Chris Lewis Security Services
The management team at Chris Lewis Security Services recognised a need to improve internal business workflows, coupled with a strong desire to enhance service delivery to its customer base. To do so, the effectiveness of its field engineer workforce had to be increased. This led to the installation of a mobile data solution 鈥� designated m-Power 鈥� that allows full job details to be sent directly from the company鈥檚 service management. This provides accurate information on the client concerned, details of the work that needs to be completed and information on the CCTV or alarm system to be worked on by an installer.

Kings Security Systems鈥� Progenie advanced hand-held technology enables the company to send details of installation work straight to the engineer on site, who can then send back regular updates as to the current status of a given project.

Security Centres has developed an in-house specification for an innovative 鈥極n Call鈥� system using Compaq hand-held iPAC pocket PCs carried by the company鈥檚 service and installation engineers, which has led to a better client service and increased revenues.

Terrier SC
Terrier SC鈥檚 IP alarm signalling system uses the speed of Broadband connections to send alarm messages to Alarm Receiving Centres (ARC) in a matter of seconds. Full line monitoring is included, with a status message sent every minute to check the connection to the ARC.
