IndigoVision's IP surveillance technology provided the platform for the entire CCTV system at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Turin
IP Surveillance
IndigoVision supplied the IP video surveillance solution for the Winter Olympics in Turin. The system, which spanned the entire Olympic site, consisted of 500 cameras managed by the company's own enterprise video and alarm management software.
Each camera was connected to an IndigoVision 8000 transmitter/ receiver module which encoded the analogue signals into MPEG-4 digital video. This was then transmitted to Security Command Centres via the IP network.
Site-wide video recording was achieved using Windows-based network video recorders (NVRs). These recorded and played back high quality video at a frame rate of 25 per second.
