The Blenheim Centre reached a key milestone this week after the topping out of Phase 1 was formally completed.

The £220m regeneration project, located in Hounslow town centre, will comprise a new retail and leisure core, town centre apartments and community facilities designed to integrate with the existing high street.

The PM is Day & Johnson while Leslie Jones Architects, Drivers Jonas and Norwest Holst, will act as the respective architect, planner and contractor.

The Michael Aukett designed Phase 1, scheduled to open in October 2006, includes a two level 10,655m2 ASDA store, kiosks for local businesses, a health and fitness centre and 484 one, two and three-bedroom apartments being built by Barratts Homes.

The 1.1m sq ft development will also create an alternative gateway to London. It is being funded by Blenheim Norwest and Apollo.
