Sanctuary Housing Association has won the National Home Improvement Council 2005 Housing Association Modernisation Project Award. Sponsored by the ECA, the award recognises the radical improvements made to over 1150 properties on four separate inner-London estates. Each property was rewired, energy efficient boilers were installed along with thermostatically-controlled radiators, and new kitchens and bathrooms were fitted. Over 90% of occupants expressed satisfaction with the work.
