Gardiner Security is adding retail and garment security to its portfolio in a new partnership with EAS Distributors, the leading supplier of electronic article surveillance via RF, AM, FM and dual frequency systems.

Gardiner will now market the Xpress Nuda range of RF tagging systems which uses RF technology to give significant savings to retailers, plus a strong visual deterrent to shoplifters. Systems comprise a transmitter, receiver and a tuned circuit (in the tag), the field round the pillars being detuned when a tag enters it and sets off the alarm. There is a choice of entry level single pillar systems for the smaller retailer and dual pillar systems for larger stores, all in brushed aluminium.

鈥淔rom talking to our customers, there is growing interest in being able to install electronic article surveillance systems for shops and stores,鈥 says Gardiner security鈥檚 Access product manager Glenn Davies. 鈥淭hese systems open the door for them to meet the needs of retailers from the smallest upwards.鈥
