Eighteen female employees of Gardiner Security who stripped off for their own take on the "Calendar Girls" raised nearly £11,000 for charity.

The publication sold to thousands of people across the UK security industry and even as far afield as Australia and the USA. The £4.99 calendar raised a total of £10,865 for the Manchester Childrens Hospitals, and charities manager Pat Whiteside recently visited Gardiner's head office in Rochdale to receive the cheque.

The idea was sparked by head office receptionist Yvonne Seddon who hit on the idea when she started arranging photos for staff ID cards and jokingly asked Human Resources if they wanted just a head and shoulders of herself and her colleagues or something more!
