When homeowners invest in a new conservatory they want to use the additional space – but often they find the room too hot in the summer or too cold in the winter. This leaves the homeowner unsatisfied and can harm referral sales. With extreme weather becoming more common, the problem is set to become a major issue.
Installers are aware of the problem but the extra time spent sourcing and co-ordinating the installation of air conditioning has put many off. GAP has teamed up with Debon Air to take some of the hassle out.
Jon Randle, GAP's Group Purchasing Manager explains: ‘The unit cools and heats to keep the conservatory at the right temperature whatever the weather outside. And it's easy to use – at the touch of a button the room will be comfortable within minutes.
‘Installers can use these benefits to increase their margins. Adding air conditioning is part of GAP's policy to help customers by offering everything they need under one roof.
‘We now stock everything to finish a conservatory from laminate flooring and skirting to air conditioning. It’s one phone call and one delivery from one supplier making it easier for our customers’, said John.
