Access control

CB Richard Ellis – one of the foremost real estate advisory companies worldwide – asked GES to install Fastlane optical turnstiles from Integrated Design within its new offices at the Paternoster development in the City.

GES was contracted to find an access solution for the blue chip client, and specified an access control system courtesy of Northern Computers in combination with HID readers and Fastlane optical turnstiles from Integrated Design Ltd.

Fastlane is a state-of-the-art turnstile which uses infrared technology to monitor the passage of every individual entering and leaving a facility. It’s designed to prevent the most common of access control violations, including tailgating, time and attendance fraud, pass-back and unauthorised entry. If the latter is attempted, the system will immediately raise an alarm.

The Fastlane system is fully-compliant with the Disability Discrimination Act, which became law in October.
