Consumer interest in home improvement has so far doubled this year compared to the same period in 2004, according to a report by leading home improvement website specialist, eBuilders.
Barry Dunlop, Managing Director of eBuilders, said: ‘January, February and March have all been record breaking months for all 25 of our home improvement websites, with www.ask-questions.com being the most successful, with a 50 per cent increase in users of its online forum.’
At www.ask-questions.com consumers can seek answers to all types of home improvement questions. The site offers tips and suggestions for making the most of the home, from conservatories and bathrooms to kitchens and double-glazing. It also includes links to many leading home improvement suppliers.
Barry says: ‘It is clear that whilst the home improvement market continues to grow, consumers are not jumping in with two feet first, they want questions answered so they can make informed buying decisions.’
Conservatories was the number one topic of interest on the website with almost 40 per cent of consumers asking conservatory related questions, an area eBuilders’ also caters for with its successful website www.conservatoriesonline.com designed as a one stop shop for every conservatory need.
