Midlands security specialist Defence Security Systems have added seven staff to its team since launching into the home security market just three months ago.

Since its development of an online quote website, demand has risen "without precedence and is showing no signs of slowing" says the company.

Alongside its new team, DSS has also invested in six new vans.

The company initially made its mark in bespoke security for commercial premises but, after spotting a niche in the market, took the plunge to expand into the home sector.

It has achieved "astonishing" results with its package allowing customers to pay on a monthly basis, and now "the demands for online quotes has tripled with the orders for home systems."

Said Peter Swain, MD: "All of a sudden Defence Security Systems are punching above their weight against larger corporate providers. This is exciting stuff, especially with the launch of our online-CCTV site".
