The Institution of Civil Engineers' Equal Opportunities Forum (ICEFLOE) has launched a mentoring programme for women members
The scheme, developed with JIVE Partners is designed to help increase the representation of women in the construction industry.
Mentoring is particularly aimed at supporting women through the professional review process. It also targets those returning from a career break, rising through the profession and breaking the glass ceiling. The programme will be rolled out across all members.
JIVE is part of the European EQUAL initiative. It focuses on breaking down gender segregation in engineering and construction. It has considerable experience in mentoring women in non-traditional areas.
