FP200 Gold is approved to the relevant British standards for voice alarm systems and is now approved to the new PH60 requirement of BS 5266-1 for emergency lighting. This means that cabling can be specified for fire alarm, voice alarm and emergency lighting systems.

Flat power

Rittal's RiLine60 busbar system is offered in flat and profile bars, with system sizes up to 1600 A. Controlgear can be assembled and wired on the RiLine 60 support frame and mounted directly onto the busbar. Three mounting options are offered.

Heavy-duty pole

Zucchini has launched a busbar for heavy-duty applications. The MR five-pole series is available as standard in 3 and 1·5 metre lengths; bespoke lengths are also offered. It is IP52 rated. Plug-in boxes with different ratings are offered and can be plugged in safely while the busbar is live.

Rapid solution

HellermannTyton has added a shielded system to its RapidNet family of pre-terminated cabling solutions. Shielded RapidNet is standards compliant, fully patented pre-terminated, pre-tested and pre-labelled plug-and-play shielded cabling system. It does not require on-site termination. Designed around a cassette system, it complies with Category 6.

Compliant cable

Brand-Rex's communication cabling range, including all copper and fibre optic products, is now fully compliant with the European Commission's RoHS (restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment) Directive 2002/95/EC.

The RoHS Directive, which is effective from 1 July 2006, sets permitted levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated biphenyl ether (PBDE) in electrical and electronic equipment sold into the EU marketplace.
