David Brown has joined Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) as national director, to help build up the firm鈥檚 project management capabilities.

Brown, a qualified QS, joins from project management specialist Trench Farrow.

JLL has just won a PM role on a 拢25m new build and fit-out project for Microsoft in Reading. The firm is also working on a fit out-job for Bank of America in Canary Warf.

Brown will lead JLL鈥檚 30-strong PM department and report to Mike Tiplady, European director.

鈥淛LL鈥檚 intent is to grow the project management department to service other parts of this business, for instance tenants who are looking for new properties,鈥� said Brown. 鈥淭his is definitely a trend. Most of the large property related firms, such as CB Richard Ellis and Drivers Jonas, are taking on project managers.鈥�

JLL鈥檚 PM department is poised to hire at least two further team members. Brown was at Trench Farrow for a year and a half, where he was a project manager responsible for winning work. His clients there included Deloitte & Touche. Prior to that he was at AYH, Arup and Burke Hunter Brown, which he helped to found.
