Brewer aims high with UAE expansion

Brewer Consulting is expanding in both the UK and UAE.

The firm will open a London office later this year. In Dubai the firm plans to boost its seven-strong team to 20 people in the next year. Brewer is headquartered in Epsom, Surrey.

Director Geoff Brewer said of his Dubai plans: 鈥淲e don鈥檛 have an ambition to compete with the Hill Internationals of this world.鈥� He added that a smaller operation could still be highly profitable.

Brewer Consulting has been operating in Dubai for two years. The firm is working on the Burj Dubai, which is bidding to be the world鈥檚 tallest building. The project鈥檚 developer is Emaar.

Brewer Consulting is also handling the commercial management of the monorail transport system being built on one of the palm islands, Palm Jumeirah, by developer Nakheel. The monorail is due to open in December 2008.

The Dubai branch is headed up by Brian Meharg, associate director.
