Re: the headline that accompanied the picture of A-level pupils visiting a building site as part of their business studies course (鈥淐hicks with bricks鈥�, 14 May, page 13).

We are all aware of the issues of encouraging diversity in our workforce, and of encouraging women to break through the glass ceiling and achieve a more representative presence in management of housing associations.

Headlines like this do nothing to break stereotypical thinking and only take back a step all the good work that is being done to improve housing鈥檚 image.

Housing Today is a good, professional publication and we expect more of it.
