Wigan-based security guarding contractor the AFC Group has a new business development manager for the northern region. Lea Potts joins the company from Initial Security. Previously, Lea was the UK telesales manager for Initial鈥檚 electronic monitoring and security systems operatiosn.

Blue Rock Security Solutions 鈥� the provider of CCTV, access control and IP systems 鈥� has appointed Steve Jolley as IT project manager. Steve鈥檚 expertise gained as an IT server management engineer over the past five years will be put to good use as he oversees the IP CCTV side of Blue Rock.

The COE Group plc is pleased to announce the appointment of John Clarkson as UK sales director. John joins the specialist developer and supplier of advanced video surveillance systems from Wayfarer Transit Systems (the major supplier of integrated ticketing and smart card systems for public transport) where he was director of UK and export sales.

Simon Grant is the new chief executive officer at retail loss prevention solutions concern IntelliQ. Simon鈥檚 previous posts included seven years as founder, managing director and president of Software Migrations and managing director at The Legacy Evolution Company. Grant holds a BA (Honours) degree in political science.

Kaba (UK) 鈥� the locking systems developer 鈥� has taken on Clive Baker to head up and develop its safe and container locks business. The company鈥檚 SafeLock Division boasts the Cencon, Auditcon and LC Series of SafeLocks, as well as its range of combination locks that fit a multitude of end user applications. Clive was previously with ASSA and Guardian Security.

Leading personal ID systems manufacturer Payne Security has expanded its UK sales team with the appointment of Rod Powell to the position of area sales manager for south central England. Reporting directly to Andy Roberts (Payne鈥檚 UK sales manager for personal ID), Rod will be responsible for developing a territory comprising central and west London post codes, the Thames Valley region and areas down towards the Solent.

Honeywell has announced that James Somerville Smith has been appointed UK marketing leader for Honeywell Video Systems (part of the Honeywell Systems Group). Based at the company鈥檚 Runcorn offices, James is responsible for developing and marketing the full Honeywell Video Systems range in order to meet client needs in the UK, as well as exploring the integration capabilities of the full Honeywell Security product range.

Kalamazoo Security Print 鈥� the supplier of security printed documents and business solutions for end users 鈥� has appointed Richard Bentley as managing director to 鈥渄ynamically drive UK growth鈥� and further develop the company鈥檚 significant export sales. Richard will focus his attentions on organic growth from Kalamazoo鈥檚 existing client portfolio, bids and tenders for the public sector and major blue chip organisations.

Tag Guard Systems has appointed Nick Evans as director of sales to manage the company鈥檚 expanding UK business in wireless security alarm and CCTV systems, in addition to vehicle tracking solutions. Nick holds a Masters Degree in Security Management. He is a member of both the International Institute of Security and The Security Institute, and is a keen and active supporter of the Loughborough University Security Forum.

Nortech Control Systems has appointed Neil Watson as sales manager for its new access control division. Neil brings extensive knowledge and over 20 years鈥� experience to the role, having previously worked for numerous security companies including Inner Range, ADT and Europlex Technologies. The new division鈥檚 formation follows a strategic re-organisation of the business into two strands, the other concentrating on parking and automation.

Electronic access control systems manufacturer Paxton Access has announced Andy Reynolds鈥� appointment as OEM account manager. Andy鈥檚 specific remit is to manage current OEM customer relationships, and to expand OEM opportunities both within the UK and overseas. Andy joins Paxton from ASSA, where he served as access control support manager. An electrical design engineer by background, Andy has worked with manufacturers, installers and end users during his seven years in the security industry.

PAC 鈥� one of the UK鈥檚 leading manufacturers of integrated access control systems 鈥� has reiterated its commitment to the security sector with the appointment of Andy Jackson as trade sector manager. Andy brings 23 years鈥� security industry experience to the role, where he will now assume responsibility for trade sales through the company鈥檚 UK distribution business partners. Andy joins from Baxall.

Tzachi Wiesenfeld 鈥� managing director of leading security solutions provider ASSA Abloy (UK) 鈥� has been promoted to executive vice-president of the ASSA Abloy Group, and head of the Group鈥檚 EMEA division. 48-year-old Wiesenfeld takes up his new post on 1 September, but will retain responsibility for his current role until such time as a successor can be found.
