Franklin + Andrews has hired a new project director for its Birmingham office. Nigel Walker, previously a partner at Bucknall Austin, will assume responsibility for the next phase of the firm's planned development within the Midlands. He will focus on commercial property, civic and community, industrial and nuclear sectors.

Packer promotes Porter

John Packer Associates has promoted James Porter to fellow associate. He will assume responsibility for improving client service.

He joined the firm in 2003 and has since sat on the steering committee for the BSRIA Guide Cooling Solutions for IT.

Quartet hired at DBK Back

DBK Back has announced four senior level appointments in a bid to help achieve its ambitious target of increasing turnover by 33% in 2006.

Matthew Bevington has come on board as cost manager based in Birmingham. Will Hargreaves and Matthew Whittle join the Manchester team as commercial managers, while Randal Leonard will join the London office, as commercial manager.
