The Jones Tool Company Ltd, based near Huddersfield, has announced the acquisition of the assets and stock of the Alexander S. Newell Machine Tool Company Ltd.

Alexander S. Newell, formerly located in Waltham Cross, was the sole distributor of the Wolferal range of cutting tools for more than 50 years. The brand has now transferred to the Jones Tool Company, which is offering the full range of cutting tools and saw blades to former customers.

Tim Jones, Managing Director of the Jones Tool Company, said: ‘We are delighted to have purchased the assets and stock of such a long established and well known supplier. The Wolferal brand is one of the most trusted and recognised names in cutting tools and circular saw blades and we look forward to providing our new customers with the same high levels of service and support they had become accustomed to for over half a century.’

The Jones Tool Company has provided a full range of tools, consumables and accessories for more than a decade. It also offers a range of small bespoke machines for the PVC-u industry and a specialist tooling service manufacturing a range of welding and drill support blocks.
