The Giant-83 from Italian company Lovati is a five-axis CNC machine that grinds and polishes bevels and edges on shaped glass with internal and external curves, straight line edges and mitred corners.

It can also perform holes, pin and screw inserts, internal and external milling and routing.

Capable of processing glass up to 8.3 x 3.21 metres, it is equipped with a 14kW spindle that accepts a maximum inclination of 90° in the horizontal position, using cup wheels rather than peripheral wheels.

The Giant-83 can work glass or stone up to a maximum thickness of 100mm using a special bevel polishing system of felt and cerium oxide.

The working table can be divided in two sections, each one equipped with a 12-position tool station, with automatic selection for tool withdrawal and deposit.

The CNC machine also features CAD/CAM software with online support.
