No wonder clients get their budgets so disastrously wrong if BCIS is giving such inaccurate cost advice (Petrol enters the cost equation at the BCIS, QS News, 11 August), or has the cost of petrol rocketed even more since I last filled up?

With petrol at around 拢0.90 per litre, the application of that figure would provide a square metre rate of 拢0.90; a factor of 1,000 is needed to get the unit price up to the 拢900 which is 鈥渘ot far off current costs鈥.
